Mark modernised the plumbing system of my house. This was a major job. The existing system was aged and the works included the replacement of the existing gravity system to a pressurised system fed directly by the water main. A large Megaflow and a new boiler were installed, together with all the modification of the copper pipework valves and electrical wiring. He also power flushed the Central Heating radiators and changed all the radiator valves.

All this work was carried out whilst the building was occupied. It was carried out with courtesy, efficiency and care within the space of five days. I was very impressed.

British Gas currently maintains the central heating system for us. I was surprised to find that the contract does not cover power flushing. I was quoted circa £900 for this task. I am very pleased that I opted to look elsewhere and found the company through eBay!

Despite the obvious initial concerns of dealing with a small company, I decided to engage them. The quality of work has been exemplary, professional and very tidy. The polite and friendly behaviour with the desire to go the extra mile was perfect. I have absolutely no hesitation to recommend them to my friends and family.

The charge of just £250 also underpins my decision. The team even replaced the faulty pump for no extra charge. What more could I have asked for!

I am always impressed by Mark Charnock's plumbing service. We have used him several times for various plumbing issues in our home and he has always been very reliable. He is punctual, his charges are reasonable, and he knows what he is doing. He deals with problems quickly and professionally.

I would be very happy to recommend Mark, who fitted a new combi boiler for us, new radiators and overhauled our existing central heating system. In our experience, Mark was punctual, polite, unobtrusive and clearly technically competent, despite his relatively young age. The work he carried out was within the time we had agreed, on budget and to a high standard. He did not ask for any money upfront and was quite insistent that we should not pay until we were happy with the wrork. As I work from home a few days of the week I was expecting quite a lot of disruption, bit it was minimal, he kept the house tidy and made every effort to clean up after himself.

Last of all, but maybe not least, was the extra thought he put into his job. The work he carried out for us was at the beginning of the cold snap towards the end of last year, which was tough with our two young boys to consider. Without any request from us he brought us electric fan heaters and tried to schedule this work to optimise hot water availability and heating at night.

This extra mile mentality is what makes Mark stand out amongst the crowd and as a result, I have him scheduled to fit a new bathroom for me later this month.

I needed an old gas fire removing and called Charnock after a recommendation from a friend. It was difficult for me to take time off work and so I was relieved when Mark suggested visiting in the evening. The job was done quickly and efficiently and he actually charged less than his original quote.

Our boiler broke down just before the Easter bank holiday. As we have a baby in the house I was worried about being without heating and hot water for a long weekend. I was a little nervous of calling up a plumber based on a flyer but I am glad I did. He was friendly and helpful and offered to call around first thing in the morning. Not only was he happy to work on a bank holiday, he didn't charge any extra.

I have already recommended him to a friend, who was also happy with the service.
